The course consists of 14 Saturday sessions from 10am-4pm. There are still places available - please apply before 12/01/2014.
The Community Interpreting Level 3 accredited course is for people who are very fluent in English and another language and who have:
Paid or unpaid experience of interpreting in public services in the UK
Understanding and knowledge of the communities they represent
Fluency in English and another language spoken locally
This is an 84 hour course focusing on interpreting skills, the role of the interpreter and issues raised. The fee will be confirmed at the induction on 12/10/13 but is likely to be in the region of £700-£800. There are no longer any fee reductions - each student must pay the full amount. There will be student loans available for those who wish to apply (more information will be provided at the induction).
Fees are payable as 3 instalments for those who do not wish to apply for a student loan.
